DALLAS, Texas — At CEDIA 2015, HARMAN’s JBL Synthesis will premiere an updated JBL Synthesis Three Array and new JBL Synthesis LSR complete custom-installation home theater systems, two ultrahigh-end multichannel systems that incorporate the company’s latest audio/video components and loudspeakers.

“We’ve always listened to the needs of our custom-installation integrators and dealers in providing them with the systems they and their customers want, and our new Synthesis Three Array and Synthesis LSR packages reflect this commitment,” said Jim Garrett, Director of Marketing and Product Management, HARMAN. “Both bring uncompromising JBL Synthesis quality to more attractive price points and size configurations, and deliver the total immersion in the home entertainment audio experience that listeners know they can expect from JBL Synthesis.”

The JBL Synthesis Three Array system has been upgraded with new electronics and a reduced suggested retail price, while the JBL Synthesis LSR system is a new configuration that delivers powerhouse sound in a small footprint.

Central to both systems are the SDP-25 surround processor and SDEC-3500 digital equalizer. The SDP-25 offers a host of features including multiple HDMI 1.4 inputs and outputs with 4K Ultra HD and 3D video compatibility, 7.1-channel surround-sound audio capability with dual-subwoofer output, integrated system control and comprehensive setup options. The SDEC-3500 is a sophisticated digital audio processor that maximizes the performance of a multichannel JBL Synthesis home entertainment system in any room by the application of ultra-precise 500-band parametric equalization and proprietary DSP technologies.

The JBL Synthesis Array Three system is ideal for listening rooms from 1,500 to 10,000 cubic feet. In addition to the SDP-25 processor and SDEC-3500 equalizer it features two SAM3VA left and right speakers and an SAM3HA center channel, which deliver impressive sound from modestly sized enclosures. The loudspeaker complement also includes four S4Ai multipolar in-wall surround speakers and two S2S-EX 15-inch subwoofers. The speakers are powered by 8-channel SDA-8300 and 4-channel SDA-4600 amplifiers, which offer HARMAN’s propriety BLU link networking capability and employ HARMAN’s exclusive DriveCore amplifier technology that enables installation-friendly smaller size and weight and much more energy-efficient operation. The SDA-8300 and SDA-4600 offer DSP capabilities such as built-in crossovers, input and output EQ and additional features that enable the amps to be perfectly tailored to any installation and room.

Designed for rooms from 1,000 to 7,000 cubic feet, the new JBL Synthesis LSR system is built around three LSR708i Master Reference Monitors used as left, center and right speakers. The LSR708i brings the studio-quality sound relied upon in film and broadcast production to home listeners. Featuring JBL’s new Image Control Waveguide and latest driver technologies, the LSR708i delivers remarkably accurate and immersive sound from an enclosure only 17 inches tall. The JBL Synthesis LSR system also includes the SDP-25, SDEC-3500, four JBL 8320 Compact Cinema Surround Speakers, plus two S2S-EX subwoofers, all driven by 7-channel SDA-7200 and 4-channel SDA-4600 power amplifiers.

The JBL Synthesis Three Array system is currently available at a suggested retail price of $39,500. The JBL Synthesis LSR system is currently available at $27,500 suggested retail.
